Banana Pepper Pizza

Spice up your next pizza with Wickles Banana Pepper Rings! A little tang, a little heat, and a lot of flavor with every cheesy slice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ball of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Wickles Banana Pepper Rings, drained and sliced
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Cornmeal or flour, for dusting
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
  2. Prepare the dough: On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Sprinkle cornmeal or flour on a piece of parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Assemble the pizza: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan evenly over the sauce.
  4. Add the Wickles Banana Pepper Rings: Scatter the Wickles Banana Pepper Rings over the cheese, distributing them evenly for a burst of tangy flavor in every bite.
  5. Bake the pizza: Transfer the pizza (on the parchment paper) to the hot pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  6. Finish and garnish: Remove the pizza from the oven, and drizzle lightly with olive oil. If you like, garnish with fresh basil for a pop of color and flavor.
