Wickles Wicked Okra and Chicken Sausage Stew

Baby, it’s cold outside, so we’re in the kitchen heating up this Wicked Okra, Tomato, and Chicken Sausage Stew to keep our hands warm and our bellies full.


  • 4 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 4 cups chopped Wicked Okra
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 (14.5-ounce) can Navy beans
  • 1/2 (14.5-ounce) can red beans
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cups sliced okra
  • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  1. Cook/warm sausages in a cast iron Dutch oven.
  2. Add onion and celery to the sausage grease and cook until soft, about 7-8 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, okra, beans, and seasonings. Cook 20-25 minutes, maintaining a simmer and stirring occasionally until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Serve hot with bread or tortillas.
