Baked Brie with Wicked Jalapeños and Fig Jam

This Wicked Jalapeño and Fig Jam is sweet but savage — like a Southern Belle packing a pistol. Rich, creamy Brie and gooey fig jam laced with jalapenos combine for a sweet, sultry flavor with a kick at first bite, then a slow, satisfying burn.

Ingredients:

  • 1 wheel of triple-cream Brie, 8oz – 16oz, depending on the crowd
  • 3-4 tablespoons of fig jam
  • 2-3 tablespoons of chopped Wicked Jalapeño Slices, adjust to taste
  • 1 small bowl of additional Wicked Jalapeño Slices for serving on the size
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary or thyme
  • Crackers, crostini or sliced apples or pears for serving

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F
  • Place the Brie wheel on a parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Lightly score the top rind with a knife in a crisscross pattern – this helps the jam sink in and the cheese melt more evenly
  • Spread the jam evenly over the top
  • Bake uncovered for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey inside
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes
  • Top with chopped Wicked Jalapeño Slices
  • Serve with crackers, crusty bread or fruit slices

Additional Pairing Suggestions:

  • Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze or handful of chopped toasted pecans
  • Works beautifully with nuts, grapes and prosciutto
