Wickles Cheeseburger Soup

A warm recipe for winter when you’re craving the cheeseburgers of summer.


  • 1 lb lean ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups peeled, diced potatoes
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup chopped Wicked Pickle Chips
  • Optional garnishes: croutons, cooked and chopped bacon, parsley, green onion


  1. In a large pot or dutch oven, sauté the onion and celery in butter until tender
  2. Add potatoes and broth and bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat, and cover and simmer for about 10 minutes
  4. Puree soup in a blender or with a hand blender until smooth
  5. Return to pot and add ground beef, cheese, milk, pepper and paprika and stir over low heat until the cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper
  6. Ladle into bowls and garnish with Wicked Pickle Chips, and other preferred garnishes
