Wicked Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

Buttery, garlicy and cheesy make for the perfect biscuit!


  • ½ cup shortening
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese
  • 6 cloves Wickles Wicked Garlic cloves, minced


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Put flour, sugar, salt and baking powder into a large bowl
  3. Add shortening and use 2 knives to cut the mix until it forms small crumbs
  4. Gently stir in cheese until incorporated
  5. Mix Wickles Wicked Garlic into milk
  6. Add milk mixture to dough and stir until incorporated and dough begins to pull from the sides of the bowl
  7. Roll dough into a rectangle, ½ inch thick and use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out the biscuits
  8. Place on a baking sheet, 1-2 inches apart
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
  10. Remove immediately from baking sheet, serve warm
